Since Spotify introduced its AI DJ, Amazon Music has been steadily building out its own AI-powered tools — from AI-generated playlists to AI-assisted search — in a bid to better compete with the streaming giant.
Today, Amazon Music is debuting a new feature called “Weekly Vibe,” designed to take personalization up a notch. Rolling out now to U.S. users across all subscription tiers on both iOS and Android, Weekly Vibe promises to keep your music rotation feeling fresh.
The feature tackles a familiar frustration for frequent streamers: playlist fatigue. Each Monday, Weekly Vibe generates a new AI-curated playlist based on your recent listening patterns, evolving “musical moods,” and interests. It not only refreshes your favorite tracks but also introduces similar songs to expand your music discovery.
Finding Weekly Vibe is simple: head to your Library tab, tap “Made for You,” and you’ll see a freshly themed playlist complete with a new title, description, and handpicked tracks. Playlists may focus on specific genres or vibes, whether that’s hip-hop hits or trending pop anthems. Users can also share their playlists with friends, post them on social platforms, or save them for future listening.
Weekly Vibe builds on Amazon Music’s earlier “Maestro” AI playlist generator, launched in beta last year, which lets listeners create playlists from text prompts — even emojis. It also follows “Explore,” another AI-driven feature that helps fans dive deeper into their favorite artists while surfacing related music.
With Weekly Vibe, Amazon Music continues its push to prove that AI isn’t just about convenience — it’s about keeping music discovery exciting, dynamic, and deeply personal.
